Chanell Renee Elston
South Euclid City Council
Northeast Ohio, Local
Councilmember Chanell Renee Elston is running for re-election to continue helping the city of South Euclid. Working for the Veteran Affairs Medical Center the past sixteen years, Councilmember Elston has held various roles that have given her experience in managing personnel, implementing new plans, and providing resources for our veterans. Within the community she has held various roles and worked within the City of Cleveland in many capacities. Serving on the executive board for the greater Cleveland National Pan Hellenic Council, she has assisted with organizing community events ranging from voter education forums, awareness events, and community service projects. During her time on city council, Councilmember Elston has been an advocate for voices to be heard. She has developed and implemented a partnership with the local high school to encourage voter registration. She is eager to continue the program and present it to neighboring cities for their high schools. When re-elected, she will focus on collaborating with other Northeast Ohio council members and believes that much of the work done locally can have a greater impact if everyone works together. As an advocate for women to lead, and being a voice in her community, we know that Councilmember Elston will continue to uphold the Matriots values.
I consider myself a very hard working and dedicated person who loves to pursue my personal best. I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue to gain additional knowledge and skills to help serve my community.
