Dr. Cara Jacob is a practicing neurologist at the University of Cincinnati and a first-time candidate running for the Ohio Senate in District 7. Specializing in the treatment of neurodegenerative conditions, her medical career has made her an advocate for healthcare access. 

Dr. Jacob’s transition into state-level advocacy is led by her professional experience with healthcare administration and personal concerns regarding gun violence and public school funding. As a parent of two children, she advocates for common-sense gun safety measures to protect students and educators. Structuring her platform around patient-centered health reforms and the implementation of the Fair School Funding Plan, her campaign is focused on expanding regional access to vital public services. 

Dr. Jacob is partnering with local candidates and district networks to increase voter engagement and political transparency by running an active grassroots campaign across Hamilton and Warren counties. Her candidacy centers on leading by example to encourage broader civic participation and ensure that the voice of working families is directly represented in Columbus.
