Bria Bennett is an engaged and involved citizen ready to take the next step in uplifting her community as a public servant and elected official. With a multitude of political experiences under her belt, Bennett has an understanding at all levels of government. She has worked with campaigns at the local, state, and federal level. At the federal level, she has worked as an organizer for campaigns such as that of Former President Barack Obama and Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She served as deputy campaign manager for Judge Cynthia Rice for Ohio Supreme Court and has also volunteered on several local campaigns including Doug Franklin for Mayor. She understands how important it is for citizens to have a voice in their government and is a founding member of iVote Black, a group working to excite and encourage the next generation of black voters. Bria is deeply dedicated to being a positive voice for her community and has volunteered with numerous political organizations in her community. At the Statehouse, Bria will champion Matriots values, with a focus on issues related to health care reform, access to transportation, workplace equity, and reproductive freedom.
