Brenda Buchanan grew up in a working-class family in Berea, OH, and put herself through college, graduating from Kent State University in 1985. With nearly 40 years of experience as a Radio Traffic Director in the Cleveland market, she now serves as the Traffic Supervisor for Audacy’s New England region, overseeing five markets, 10 employees, and 22 stations. 

A 30-year resident of Columbia Township, Brenda served two terms on the Columbia Local Schools Board of Education, including four years as president. She also represented the board on the Lorain County JVS board. Over the past two years, Brenda has managed social media for the Lorain County Rural Democrats, working to elect Democrats, pass Issue 1, and protect the rights of all Ohioans. 

The Matriots recognize Brenda Buchanan as a strong advocate for equality, equity, and accessible education and proudly endorse her for Ohio House of Representatives, District 54.
