Arienne Childrey is a dedicated advocate and community leader running for Ohio State Representative in the 84th district. Originally from a small coal town in Virginia, Arienne moved to Ohio in 2014, bringing with her a strong commitment to public service and a rich background in retail management, which has honed her leadership skills and understanding of community needs.  

Her passion for social justice led her to found Northwest Ohio Trans Advocacy, a grassroots organization focused on advancing LGBTQ rights, with a special emphasis on supporting transgender individuals. Currently, there are no trans women in the Ohio General Assembly, but Arienne is dedicated to correcting such under representation and bringing visibility to Ohio’s LGBTQ+ population. Arienne’s commitment to amplifying marginalized voices and her vision for a more inclusive, equitable future make her a dynamic candidate ready to collaborate with the community and drive positive change. 

With a proven record of standing up for everyday folks, bridging divides, and fighting for fairness, Arienne is ready to bring that same practical, common-sense approach to Columbus. She will work across the aisle towards real solutions for good-paying jobs, affordable living, public safety, and a stronger future.
