Amy is a 3rd Grade Teacher, proud mother of four, wife, and pet parent. Her main reason for running for the Ohio House of Representatives is to make the world a better place for all of us, especially our children. Amy is a champion for children, and she vows to support parents, schools, and teachers. She is also a strong supporter of Universal Health Care for all, especially Free Health Care for all children, disabled people, the elderly, pregnant people, and veterans.  

Amy is a strong believer in valuing community over viewing everyone as competition. She believes that there are always topics that everyone can agree upon. Amy also understands that compromise is key in order to achieve her policy goals. Her main goal will be to reach across the aisle and work on legislation that builds a better, stronger, and safer future for all Ohio children. Amy wants to enact legislation that puts our kids first, such as free school breakfast and lunch to ALL of Ohio’s K-12 Schools. The Matriots are proud to endorse Amy Rigsby: an avid participant in local politics, an involved elementary school teacher, and a determined advocate for women’s and children’s emotional and physical safety.
