Whitehall City Council
Central Ohio, Local
After graduating from college, Amy Harcar desired to do something to give back to the community. As a photography graduate, she started photographing charity events to help raise awareness about important causes such as childhood cancer and events that supported St. Stephen’s Community House. Through charity work, Amy was connected to Ethiopian Orphan Relief (EOR) and Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services (ETSS), where she has been overseeing several programs, including providing New American youth with a pathway to education and job opportunities. This year, Amy is running to raise her service to the community by contesting for the Whitehall City Councilmember At-Large position. Her dedication to giving back to the community will help to fuel her in her journey to uphold the Matriots values if elected.Forward Together Whitehall
I am an advocate for immigrant and refugee survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. My goal in running for office is to advocate for women and for the immigrant community.
