Proudly endorsed by the Worthington Education Association, Amber Epling is running for Worthington Board of Education. Growing up, public school teachers had a significant impact on Amber’s life, and because of their influence, she was the first in her family to graduate college. Amber knows just how important public education is and feels that serving the schools as a member of the Board of Education is the next step. As a mother of three school-aged girls, Amber’s expectations are similar to most other parents in the district. They want their children to have the best quality education possible. They want them to be safe when they leave their homes and go to school. Finally, they want a district and a community they can be proud of. These expectations are simple and straightforward, but require work on the part of the district to ensure success. She feels strongly that elected officials should be there to serve their community. Amber will identify opportunities where improvements can be made while protecting the aspects that make Worthington Schools so special. She will create a positive atmosphere where teachers will feel supported and empowered. When elected, she will make decisions that will allow all students to reach their full potential, aligning with the Matriots values of education.
