Amanda Weinstein

Dr. Amanda Weinstein is the Director of Research at the Center on Rural Innovation, where she leads initiatives that support economic development in small towns by advancing modern infrastructure, workforce development, small business growth, and local quality of life.
An Air Force Veteran, Weinstein earned her Ph.D. in agricultural, environmental, and development economics from The Ohio State University, where she advised the Governor on tax policy for the energy industry through the Swank Program in Rural-Urban Policy.
As a proud Hudson resident and advocate, Amanda has served as a Girl Scout troop leader and has been involved in the Hudson Inclusive Playground project, a local initiative and public-private partnership to create community space for children of all abilities to play together.
She is married to State Senator Casey Weinstein, and together they are raising their three children in Hudson. Amanda is now running for City Council to bring her expertise in economic development and lifelong passion for public service to her community, while working to be a powerful proponent of Matriots’ values.
