Allison Urbanek is a longtime Lakewood leader with 18 years of deep, hands-on experience serving the community. As a Lakewood resident, she and her husband can be found walking around town, enjoying the restaurants and shops.
She is currently the president of Barton Communities, an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing to aging adults. Her work has focused on supporting low-to-moderate income individuals by advocating for safe, well-maintained housing and championing affordable, inclusive solutions.
Through her work with LakewoodAlive, Barton Communities, and a wide range of volunteer efforts, she has built a strong track record of developing and implementing programs that make a lasting difference in residents’ lives. Allison brings a unique, on-the-ground perspective shaped by working directly with residents in every corner of the city.
Now running for Lakewood City Council, she is committed to continuing this work, advancing equity-focused policies, and strengthening the city for all who call it home. Her leadership and values strongly align with The Matriots’ mission to elect women who will promote healthy, safe, and equitable communities in Ohio.
