State Representative Allison Russo is serving her fourth term in the Ohio House, representing District 7 (Upper Arlington, Grandview Heights, and parts of Columbus). She previously served as Minority Leader of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus from January 2022 to June 2025. Russo has held key roles including Ranking Member on the House Health Committee and currently serves as Ranking Member of the Financial Institutions Committee, while also serving on several other committees and advisory groups. In the legislature, Russo focuses on healthcare access, public health and safety, education funding, and economic support for working families. She has introduced legislation to improve affordability and access to care and has earned recognition for her work on mental health, early childhood, aging, and disability issues.
Before her election, Russo spent over 20 years advising leaders on healthcare policy affecting seniors, veterans, and vulnerable populations. She holds a doctorate in health policy from George
Washington University and a master’s in public health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She lives in Upper Arlington with her husband and three children.
