State Representative Allison Russo is currently in her second term at the Ohio House of Representatives and serves as the Minority Leader for the Democratic Caucus. Representative Russo brings her public health policy expertise to the House, previously serving as the Ranking Member on the Health Committee. Representative Russo has spent more than two decades advising government leaders and policymakers on issues related to the healthcare financing and care delivery needs of seniors, vulnerable populations, Veterans, and military families. She is a working mother and an advocate for Ohio’s families who has worked passionately to fund Ohio’s public schools, support economic strategies that sustain working families and vibrant communities, and prioritize solutions that increase access to healthcare for all Ohioans. She has fought for legislation that would require the Director of Environmental Protection to adopt rules establishing maximum allowable contaminant levels in drinking water and water quality standards, and has pushed to establish family and medical leave insurance benefits.

Currently serving House District 24, Representative Russo is seeking a win in newly-drawn House District 7. When reelected, she will continue to be a voice for fair districts and a strong democracy here in Ohio, working to increase transparency and accountability, and strengthening the economic future of our state.
