A lifelong resident of Fayette County, Amy Wright is a licensed professional clinical counselor and a dedicated advocate for working families, children, and communities across Ohio. For more than 20 years, Wright has served as an independent licensed professional clinical counselor, working to create healthier and safer communities by helping individuals and families navigate life’s most difficult challenges. Her work in mental health and social services has provided her with a deep understanding of the issues affecting Ohioans every day, including access to affordable healthcare and housing, workforce development, childcare challenges, and support for vulnerable populations. Wright’s commitment to public service extends beyond her professional career: Since 2016, she has been actively engaged in civic and political organizing, working to increase voter participation, educate communities, and strengthen local democracy. As a county organizing lead, Fayette County Democratic Party vice chair, volunteer, and elected precinct representative, Wright has helped mobilize voters, advocate for critical issues, and ensure that local voices are heard in the political process.
