Bringing more than 25 years of legal, government, and community leadership experience to her campaign, Kristen Rock is committed to advancing women’s rights to create legislation and public policy. Rock has practiced law for more than two decades, representing businesses and individuals in employment, creditors’ rights, litigation, and general legal matters. Her career includes representing major companies in state and federal courts, negotiating contracts, and working with business leaders and employees to resolve complex legal and financial issues. Her extensive fiscal experience has made Rock committed to pursuing economic independence for all Ohioans. Rock has a strong understanding of economic development, the needs of Ohio manufacturers, and the importance of creating opportunities for Ohio companies and workers. Rock also prioritizes access to quality education, as demonstrated by her work on the Liberty Local School District Fiscal Oversight Commission. Appointed by the Ohio Department of Education, Rock worked with district officials and community members to review spending and budgets and provide taxpayers with a voice in critical financial decisions. 

In addition to her legal work, Rock has devoted much of her life to community service. She is a 23-year member of the Junior League of the Mahoning Valley, where she currently serves on the Strong Girls/Strong Women committee. She has served as president of the Logan Swim and Tennis Club, overseeing its operations and finances while doubling membership, reducing debt, and increasing community involvement. She is currently a member of the board of the Humility of Mary Charitable Trust. Rock is a strong proponent of healthy, safe and secure communities, particularly for Ohio families. Her commitment to children and families includes serving as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), president of the St. Rose Home and School Board, and a Junior Achievement volunteer. Rock believes that winning her campaign will not only win women a seat at the legislative table, but also ensure that women’s participation in public decision making is encouraged and respected.
