Brenna Reynolds
Ohio House of Representatives, District 18
Northwest Ohio, Countywide
Having recently achieved her master’s degree in public administration, much of Brenna Reynolds’ career has been defined by her passion for creating healthy, safe, and secure communities. Early in her career, Reynolds worked as a childcare support worker at a domestic violence shelter for women, supporting survivors and their children during some of their most vulnerable moments. That work shaped her understanding of what real safety and independence require, leading Reynolds to pursue a degree in psychology and later a role as a Suicide Prevention Consultant at the Children’s Resource Center in Bowling Green. During this time, Reynolds helped run school-based coping skills and suicide prevention programs that supported the mental health of children and families across her community.
Currently serving on the Rossford City Council, Brenna Reynolds has carried her passion for community wellness into her work as a public servant. Reynolds’ experience as a Suicide Prevention Consultant gave her direct insight into the shortcomings of government support systems and the consequences these shortcomings have for Ohio women and families. Now, Reynolds works to make local government more transparent and accessible, hosting 14+ Quarterly Community Conversations that are designed to give underrepresented residents direct input into decisions affecting their families and neighborhoods. Always prioritizing the safety of her constituents, Reynolds also helped establish Rossford county’s first full-time fire department, improving public safety and emergency response for every family in our community. As an openly bisexual woman on her city council, Ross is also dedicated to protecting Wood LGBTQ+ community; she strives to make Ohioans of all backgrounds feel seen, safe, and represented in local government.
The Matriots are please to endorse Brenna Reynolds for County Commissioner.
