Candidates
Jessica Harper
Ohio House of Representatives, District 93
Southeast Ohio, State Legislature
Jessica Harper is a high school American Government teacher, union president, and first-time candidate running for the Ohio House of Representatives in District 93. As an educator in Jackson City Schools, Jessica has spent her career teaching the next generation the power of civic engagement.
Harper is currently serving her third term as president of her local teachers union and has sat on the Ohio Education Association (OEA) Board of Directors since July 2025. Harper also has lobbied at the Statehouse for fair school funding and organized community rallies to protect bodily autonomy. Her community-first approach can also be seen in her grassroots petition work to regulate massive 25-megawatt data centers to safeguard local infrastructure.
Jessica aims to offer voters an alternative focused strictly on district issues. She is running to increase female representation in local and state politics, demonstrating that women have a vital place in public leadership. The Matriots are proud to support Jessica as she runs for office.
