Wenda Sheard is an attorney, mediator, and educator with a Ph.D. in political science who is committed to bringing thoughtful, community-centered leadership to Ohio House District 94. After law school, Wenda moved to Athens County to pursue both a career opportunity and her dream of rural living, and she has remained deeply connected to the community ever since.

Throughout her career, Wenda and her family have lived and worked around the world, including opening an environmental boarding school in Wisconsin, founding a high school for international students in China, researching workforce and education opportunities for people with disabilities in Connecticut under a U.S. Department of Labor grant, and teaching at an international school in London. These experiences have strengthened her lifelong commitment to education, environmental stewardship, and public service.

Wenda is running for State Representative because she believes Ohioans deserve leaders who will defend academic freedom, protect reproductive rights, strengthen democracy, and ensure every person has the freedom and resources to make the best decisions for themselves and their families.
