Michaela Burriss brings energy, determination, and a deep commitment to service to her campaign for State Representative. She and her husband Patrick, their daughter Sascha, and their dog Koopa proudly call Upper Arlington home. Following the Dobbs decision, they launched the Burriss Backyard Speaker Series, connecting hundreds of Ohioans with candidates and causes at a critical moment.

Michaela served nearly seven years as a Legislative Aide and four years on Upper Arlington City Council as its youngest woman ever elected. She later supported entrepreneurs through Small Business Majority and now serves as Policy Director at the Ohio Justice and Policy Center, advancing criminal justice reform and working across party lines.

Raised in Northeast Ohio by a single mother who immigrated from Germany, Michaela earned a full athletic scholarship to Ohio University and later a law degree from Capital University. Her life experiences drive her commitment to fairness, opportunity, and building stronger communities. The Matriots are honored to support Michaela and her continued impact.
