In 2016, Sarah’s family decided to move to central Ohio to be closer to family. After looking into the area, they decided on Hilliard. As a stay-at-home mom, Sarah has dedicated a lot of time to volunteering in the schools. She has served as president and vice president of the PTO at Avery Elementary and currently serves as the secretary of the Weaver Middle School PTO. Last year, she was the community connections coordinator for the levy campaign. In that position, Sarah scheduled the superintendent to speak at approximately 70 homes, businesses, and community groups to share factual information about district finances and the need for the levy/bond issue. The levy/bond issue ended up passing and will provide crucial funding to keep our schools excellent. Now, Sarah is running for the Hilliard Board of Education. As a board member, she will support teachers, ensure that every student is educated without exception, and be transparent with the community.
