Toni Kleckley

Dr. Toni Kleckley is a board-certified chaplain, ordained minister, author, entrepreneur, and award-winning servant leader. A proud wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver, she is deeply rooted in faith and dedicated to serving her community. Known for saying, “I’m not a politician; I’m your neighbor who cares,” Toni brings compassion, faith, and action to everything she does.
In 2021, she made history as the first Black woman chaplain for the Reynoldsburg Police Department. A year later, she was appointed by the mayor to the city’s Planning and Zoning Board. Dr. Kleckley is also the founder of a faith-based organization supporting Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, providing financial aid and essential resources to families in need.
Her advocacy includes affordable housing, food access, and equal rights for women through her work with the American Postal Workers Union and P.O.W.E.R. She currently serves as the Great Lakes Regional Chaplain Representative and formerly served on the Federal Advisory Council for the Support of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren.
Dr. Kleckley holds a Doctor of Theology and a Master’s in Pastoral Counseling from Ohio Christian University. She’s a trustee of the Ohio Grandparent Kinship Coalition and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. In 2021, she launched a youth scholarship program honoring girls committed to community service.
Toni and her husband of 21 years live in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. They have two adult children and six wonderful grandchildren.
