Laketa Cole is a passionate public servant, advocate, and community leader. At 29 years old Cole was the first black women appointed to Cincinnati City Council and is currently Vice-president of Bond Hill Community Council. This year, she is ready to return to and serve on the City Council.
Cole has and continues to use her influence to uplift and advocate for women. She is a part of the Colored Federation of Women, has supported budgets to fund Planned Parenthood, spends time volunteering with Women helping Women, and founded “Pass the Purse” which strives to supply all women will hygiene products.
As a victim of domestic violence, Cole supports necessary legislation to help all women in all situations. Additionally, she worked with State Rep Brigid Kelly to repeal the pink tax. The Matriots are proud to endorse Laketa Cole and look forward to the positive impact she will create.
